WhaleTimes WhaleTale: In the Deep with out a Flashlight Fish

When I was in the deep sea, I dropped my flashlight fish and...

I was scared. I asked the sub pilot to turn on the lights when we heard, Bbbbbbuuuuurrrrr gggggggrrrruuuuuuuuuuugggggg tttttttuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrr dddddd.
I said in a puzzled look, "Wwwwhat was that?"
Subpilot Lea said, "I dunno but I don't know but I don't think it's good."
"Stop trying to scare us." I said, making an I-Know-It-All face. "You should stop telling nonsense stories before you get us killed."
"Then how come I can see a 10 long arms?" She asked.
We all yelled, "GIANT SQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDD  Ayslinn, Tualatin, Oregon USA

And then...

I dived too deep and I was too far under the water so I could not swim to the top and I just started to sink. Then I saw a mermaid. I fell asleep under the water...by Ella, Wa Australia

That is when I knew...

I was in BIG trouble. BUT the mermaid was a good mermaid and she took me in her arms and swam to the surface with me to save me.  When we got above the waves, I opened my eyes and saw a huge sailing ship so big the sails touched the clouds. The poor mermaid got so scared she dropped me and FLIP she disappeared again.  The captain of the boat saw me and yelled, "Man Overboard!" But before he could lower the life boat, a squid the size of Detroit started to attack the ship....

And then...

The giant squid sunk the ship and went after the fleet of submarines coming toward me. There must have been 30 submarines coming. I was saved. But then about 45 more squids came. I felt like fainting...screaming...anything!  Then there was a boom and ink filled the water and a squid zipped away. Then 10 more ear shattering booms and 10 more squids inked away. by Jakob, Julian, Pennsylvania USA

And then...

The ink from the squids shattered the windows of fifteen submarines and made them sink! Then, after another minute of waiting, back-up reinforcements of ships and submarines came and saved my life, but I knew that the other sea animals were in danger..."  Cade (age 7) Western Australia
